Why did you change Blink?
We redesigned Blink for several reasons. First, the old content management system (CMS) that contained all Blink pages, is so old that it's no longer supported technically. When we begin training Blink 2.0's subject matter experts, they will find that the new CMS is much easier to use. Second, the old Blink no longer represented best practices in Web site design and functionality; it was long overdue for major improvements. Third, Blink users made it clear through surveys and other feedback that Blink was no longer meeting their needs. Blink 2.0 enables us to feature several new tools that users have asked for, such as the home page calendar and live shuttle map.
What happened to MyBlink and the toolbar on the right of Blink pages?
All the tools that were formerly listed on the right of Blink pages are now located in the Tools drop-down lists that appear at the top of every page. Personalization, similar to MyBlink, will be included in future versions of Blink 2.0.
Can I still bookmark pages and tools?
To bookmark pages and tools, use the Favorites or Bookmark feature of your browser. The bookmarks you've already set for Blink will be redirected to Blink 2.0.
Where are the tabs that used to be at the top of Blink?
The Blink tabs are still at the top of Blink, but in a drop-down menu. Two tabs have changed names to better suit the content taxonomy: The Buying tab is now "Buy & Pay;" the People tab is now "Human Resources." We also have a new tab: Faculty Resources.
What happened to smile/frown faces? How do I give you my feedback now?
There’s now a “Feedback” link at the bottom of each page. Please use it to let us know if you find a page helpful, or if you think it’s missing something. Your feedback is one of the most important reasons that we make improvements to Blink.
Where is the people search? How do I use it?
